If you’re running behind time, or just want to do a quick meal, cook pork! 🙂
Its tender, and so it cooks quickly – You’ll be done before you know it!
For supper this past week, I made this quick Pork stew and had the time to document it. So…here goes :
The list of ingredients:
Pork cubes, Tomatoes, Onions, Green and Yellow pepper, Olive Oil, Worcestershire sauce, Salt, Black pepper, Italian herb seasoning, chicken stock cubes and Bisto gravy mix.
Fry the pork in Olive oil, and add your seasonings. Most people like to boil the meat before frying, but that tends to toughen it up and increase your cooking time in the process. Fry it, till sufficiently cooked through, and then add your Worcestershire sauce :
Add your vegetables and then cook till they are tender, Add your Chicken Stock cube as well, stirring till it dissolves. Mix separately, your Bisto and water and a bit of Tamoto sauce to thicken the gravy. Add this to the mix, and then let it simmer for a few minutes, to your desired thickness.
I decided to make this a ‘Balanced meal’ so it had to go with Starch and Veg.
Quickly boiled some Pasta Shells and sautéed some finely shredded cabbage leaves. See below :
Toss the cabbage lightly in some olive oil until tender, but still crunch. Sprinkle lightly with some Aromat -original table seasoning for taste. No need for anything else, and you’ll be surprised at how awesome these veggies taste! 🙂
As you can see…
Yummy! – I promise you 😉
